Epilepsy Service

Our Epilepsy Service is for adults registered within a North East GP practice and either have a diagnosis of epilepsy, suspected epilepsy or young adults transition from paediatric services.


Where is the service provided from?

Clinics are held in Clacton Minor Injuries Unit, Colchester Mill Road Therapy Centre and Harwich Mayflower Clinic.

We also undertake domiciliary visits for those where coming to clinic would be extremely difficult. We can also see patients in GP practice, work, college or university if needed.

 

Service offered

Advice and information, medicines management , liaison, transitional care, A and E avoidance, and employment support.

How do you access the service?
Referrals are accepted from self/carer via telephone.

Hospital medical staff, nurses and GPs can refer via telephone or by accessing the Community Gateway.
