Volunteer for ACE

Welcome to the volunteer page of Anglian Community Enterprise (ACE) Community Interest Company

Volunteering is a great way to get involved with your local community, increase your knowledge, develop your skills and meet new people from all walks of life.  Many people consider volunteering for a number of reasons, such as wanting to gain some experience to put towards their studies or a future career, or to boost their confidence by interacting with other people.  It may be that you enjoy helping people and wish to improve your community, or you may just simply wish to give something back to say ‘thank you’ for the care you or someone close to you received.

What are the benefits of volunteering?

There are many benefits of becoming a volunteer, these can include

  • developing your skills and enhance existing ones
  • build confidence when working on tasks individually and as part of a team
  • overcoming challenges

  • making a positive difference to the lives of others.

Volunteering is also recognised when applying for college or university and stands out to employers on your CV, which can often increase opportunities for paid employment.
