Continence Clinics provide assessment and
conservative (non-surgical) treatment for bladder problems in women such as
urgency and/or frequency of passing urine, getting up at night, urge and/or
stress incontinence. The service works with the local hospital consultants and
physiotherapists to provide a full service for female incontinence. Clinics
also provide assessment and conservative treatment for faecal (bowel)
incontinence for men and women and teaching intermittent self-catheterisation
for men and women with incomplete bladder.
How to access the service
can come from GPs, other health professionals or you can just ring us for
advice or to make an appointment.
