Dietetics

A Dietitian can help you to:

  • Choose foods that are healthy for you
  • Eat and drink safely
  • Help you understand how food choices affect your health  

A Dietitian can also:

  • Help you to become more involved in your food choices
  • Teach carers how to help you to make good food choices 
  • Talk to people involved in your life  

A Dietitian will see you:  

  • On your own………...or in a group.        
   

Who is the service provided to?

The service is provided for adults with Learning Disabilities who live in Mid and North East Essex. The person should have an Essex GP. Children with a severe Learning Disability who live in North East Essex can also be seen.

Appointments are held at  the Mill Road Therapy Centre, Spinks Lane Centre in Witham, or at a local  venue which is convenient for you or at your home.      


When is the service provided?  

Services are provided between Monday and Friday during the daytime.  

 

How do people access the Service?  

Anyone can access the service. Referrals forms are available from Ldahp-referrals@nhs.net These should be completed and returned to the address on the referral form.
